Photo of the Week Challenge

Moine House. I have been editing my 6000 odd photos taken in Scotland. Here I have been fiddling with some water colour type apps. Moine House is near Tongue, Sutherland. Unknown to me at the time, the internal walls have some interesting grafitti.  You would need to go around to the other side of the … Continue reading Photo of the week 30 →

Photo of the Week 26

By the time this is published, I will be back home after spending five weeks in Scotland. No doubt struggling with jet lag and either trying to stay awake or go to sleep. Although I will be home, it is likely that for the next few weeks, I will include more favourites from Scotland as … Continue reading Photo of the Week 26 →

Photo of the Week 25

It's getting hard to choose with so many great photos coming from my trip around Scotland! Although so far these are clear winners! Taken at the Arnol Blackhouse on Lewis Island they capture a moody feeling. The air was very smoky from the real peat fire burning.

Day 345: A few weeks ago someone torched a car near my place. Some 3am explosions followed by emergency services. The car was eventually taken away and a puddle of ash soot and melted metal remained. I picked up some of the metal today because I thought I could do something arty with it. It wasn’t until I took a photo of it that I realised its shape give some insight to the sort of people who steal cars and set them on fire. #meltedmetal #armidale #365photochallenge2023 #photoaday #oldchookentetprises #punintended
Day 344: today my grandson and I made sufganiyot - essentially donuts which are traditional sweets eaten during Hanukkah. Yeast dough then fried, filled with jam or chocolate cream and (sometimes) iced. Pretty yummy! #sufganiyot #hanukkah #365photochallenge2023 #photoaday #oldchookenterprises #armidale
Day 343 the storm skirted around us but stayed longer enough to cool things down from 33 to a very pleasant 21C. Another hot one coming tomorrow. #hotday #summerstorm #armidale #summerheatwave #365photochallenge2023 #photoaday #oldchookenterprises
Day 342: blue sky and fluffy clouds. At the local brewery for the first of the Xmas Parties #greathops #armidale #365photochallenge2023 #photoaday #oldchookenterprises #greathopsbrewery
Day 341: I wish I had a before photo. My little tomato seedlings have grown so fast! The big one had grown 10cm since yesterday. #tomatoplant #growyoyrownproduce #grownyourowntomatoes #365photochallenge2023 #photoaday #oldchookenterprises #armidale
Day 340: Ain’t no one opening that door! Too many boxes piled in front of it! #funnysigns #armidale #oldchookenterprises #365photochallenge2023 #photoaday
